Arima Genomics Partners with Active Motif to Distribute Hi-C Research Kits, Sharpening Focus on Clinical Cancer Diagnostics
核心洞察
Arima Genomics (搜索) has entered an exclusive global distribution agreement with Active Motif (搜索) for its Hi-C sequencing kits and services for research applications.
The deal covers non-FFPE sample types including cell lines, blood, and fresh-frozen tissues, while Arima retains focus on its clinical diagnostic platform.
Arima's Aventa clinical tests, FusionPlus for solid tumors (搜索) and Aventa Lymphoma (搜索), leverage proprietary Hi-C technology to detect actionable fusions and rearrangements from routine FFPE samples.
Arima Genomics (搜索), Inc., a cancer diagnostics company integrating DNA sequence and structure to advance therapy selection, announced on July 2, 2026, an exclusive distribution partnership with Active Motif (搜索) Incorporated for its full suite of 3D genomics research kits and services. The agreement grants Active Motif global distribution rights to Arima's Hi-C products for non-formalin fixed paraffin embedded (non-FFPE) sample types, including cell lines, blood, and fresh-frozen tissues.
The partnership is effective immediately, with Arima's Hi-C products and services for research applications now available globally through Active Motif (搜索)'s commercial infrastructure.
Strategic Realignment Toward Clinical Diagnostics
The distribution agreement forms part of Arima's broader strategy to sharpen its focus on its core clinical diagnostic platform. Arima's proprietary Hi-C sequencing technology captures the structural organization of cancer genomes from routine FFPE samples, providing the foundation for the company's Aventa clinical testing brand.
Arima currently offers two clinical tests from its CLIA-certified laboratory in Orlando, Florida: Aventa FusionPlus (搜索) for solid tumors (搜索) and Aventa Lymphoma (搜索). Both tests detect actionable fusions and rearrangements that conventional workflows may miss or incompletely characterize.
"We believe the future of cancer diagnostics lies in understanding more of what the genome has to reveal — bringing together DNA sequence and structure to expose the true drivers of disease," said Tom Willis, Ph.D., CEO of Arima Genomics (搜索). "This agreement allows Arima to focus our resources on advancing that vision through our Aventa clinical diagnostics platform, while ensuring that researchers continue to access these tools through Active Motif (搜索)'s established commercial infrastructure, complementary product portfolio and deep relationships across the life sciences research community."
Research Applications and Technology
The Hi-C kits and services covered under the agreement support a range of research applications, including epigenetics and gene regulation studies, human health and disease research, as well as reference-quality genome assembly and haplotype phasing to advance functional and evolutionary genomics.
Active Motif (搜索), a leading provider of epigenetics and multiomic solutions, will integrate Arima's 3D genomics tools into its existing portfolio serving mechanistic, translational, and clinical researchers worldwide.
Industry Perspective
Malek Faham, M.D., Ph.D., Chief Scientist at Illumina Ventures, commented on the strategic significance: "Arima has built a differentiated technology platform that is changing how clinically meaningful genomic alterations are detected and understood in cancer. This agreement sharpens the Company's focus on the clinical opportunity, where it is well positioned to address important limitations of conventional testing and deliver insights that can inform patient care."
