Study Design and Leadership
The pilot study, titled "A Pilot, Randomized, Cross-Over Study to Determine the Effects of an Oral, Peripherally Selective, Synthetic Cannabinoid ART27.13 on Intraocular Pressure," will be conducted by the Northern Ireland Clinical Trials Unit (搜索). The cross-over design allows each patient to serve as their own control, potentially increasing statistical power while reducing required enrollment numbers.

In the Phase 2 portion of the CAReS trial, positive interim data showed improvements in body weight, lean body mass, and physical activity alongside a favorable side-effect profile in cancer-related anorexia (搜索) patients.
Intellectual Property Protection
Artelo recently received a Notice of Allowance from the European Patent Office covering the intended commercial formulation of ART27.13, extending patent protection through December 2041.
