Strategic Partnership Expansion
This agreement represents the second license deal between Asahi Kasei Pharma (搜索) and Alchemedicine (搜索), following an initial collaboration established in June 2022. The new program operates independently of the previous agreement, reflecting what the companies describe as a deepened partnership and strategic alignment.

In a parallel strategic move, Asahi Kasei Pharma (搜索) announced plans to relocate its R&D hub from Izunokuni City, Shizuoka Prefecture to Shonan Health Innovation Park (搜索) (Shonan iPark) in January 2027. The relocation aims to strengthen global R&D capabilities and accelerate open innovation through enhanced collaboration with external partners.
Shonan iPark houses a globally connected life-science ecosystem that brings together approximately 190 organizations and more than 2,500 people as of November 2025, including pharmaceutical companies, next-generation medicine entities, AI/digital health companies, venture capital firms, and academic institutions.

The new Shonan iPark location will feature state-of-the-art open labs and shared equipment designed to improve research investment efficiency, optimize resources, and accelerate operations.
