Athos Therapeutics Partners with Xeptiva to Deploy AI Platform for Veterinary Vaccine Biomarker Discovery
核心洞察
Athos Therapeutics (搜索) and Xeptiva Therapeutics (搜索) announced a partnership to use the AthosOmics.AI platform for identifying efficacy biomarkers in Xeptiva's experimental canine osteoarthritis vaccine.
The collaboration will analyze proteomic data from clinical trial plasma samples using AI-driven omics analysis, representing what the companies claim is a first-of-its-kind approach in life sciences.
AthosOmics.AI is a no-code platform that can computationally analyze various omics data types to produce actionable outputs rapidly and at low cost without requiring specialized expertise.
Athos Therapeutics (搜索), an AI software and clinical stage biotechnology company, announced a new partnership with Xeptiva Therapeutics (搜索) on November 10, 2025, to leverage artificial intelligence for biomarker discovery in veterinary therapeutic vaccines. The collaboration will utilize Athos's AthosOmics.AI platform to analyze clinical trial data from Xeptiva's experimental vaccine for canine osteoarthritis chronic pain.
AI-Driven Biomarker Discovery Platform
The partnership centers on AthosOmics.AI, a novel data platform that brings multiple no-code, agentic AI software solutions to omics analysis. The automated platform can computationally analyze raw or pre-processed omics data, including genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics, to produce clear, actionable outputs rapidly and at low cost without requiring bioinformatic, computational, or biostatistical expertise.
Under the partnership agreement, Xeptiva will supply plasma samples from their clinical trial where canines were treated with their proprietary osteoarthritis chronic pain vaccine candidate. The AthosOmics.AI platform will analyze proteomic data from these samples to search for novel and actionable protein biomarkers.
Industry-First Application
The companies believe this level of AI-driven omics analysis of clinical samples represents a first of its kind within the life sciences industry. "We are excited to use AthosOmics.AI to support the development of Xeptiva's precision medicine veterinary programs by introducing the power of AI to identify prognostic and predictive biomarker signatures that are unique to their novel vaccine program," said Dimitrios Iliopoulos, PhD, MBA, Founder, President & CEO of Athos.
Iliopoulos added that while the platform has already been clinically validated for Athos's internal drug discovery, development, and biomarker purposes, "AthosOmics.AI is now ready to be deployed across any industry that generates omics data."
Veterinary Therapeutic Vaccine Development
Xeptiva is a clinical-stage company developing first-in-class therapeutic vaccines for chronic inflammation conditions in the veterinary market. The company is currently conducting efficacy trials for its two lead assets targeting osteoarthritis chronic pain and atopic dermatitis. Founded in 2021 after a decade of research and development in chronic neuroinflammation, Xeptiva aims to provide long-term solutions for hard-to-manage conditions in companion animals.
"Xeptiva is always searching for innovative ways to develop our first-in-class therapeutic vaccine solutions for companion animals, and the AthosOmics.AI platform gives us the ability to rapidly and comprehensively search for biomarkers associated with our therapeutic approaches," said Josefina Correa, MS, Founder, President & CEO of Xeptiva.
Comprehensive AI Platform Capabilities
The AthosOmics.AI platform identifies novel drug and protein targets by integrating multi-omic and longitudinal clinical datasets from patients. The platform utilizes the 3D structure of protein targets to drive computational design of small molecules and provides evaluation of ADME and safety profiles for such compounds. This makes AthosOmics.AI a one-stop solution capable of progressing from raw patient data to drug development.
The platform includes the Athos data lake, established omics workflows, and an integrative deep machine learning engine. AthosOmics.AI successfully predicted the mechanisms of action of Athos's lead compound ATH-063 years before human clinical trials and continues to drive the company's drug asset pipeline.
Broader Applications
Beyond pharmaceutical development, the platform provides no-code solutions for various industries working with omics data, including drug discovery and development, agriculture, law enforcement and forensics, food and beverage, and cosmetic development.
Athos Therapeutics (搜索) operates as both an AI software and clinical stage biotechnology company, developing precision small molecule therapeutics for patients with immune-mediated diseases. The company's drug development platform begins with over 35,000 high-quality patient samples sourced from premier global hospital systems. Their lead drug compound, ATH-063, is a first-in-class oral small molecule for inflammatory bowel disease that is soon to enter a Phase 2 clinical trial.
