The AIM-listed life sciences company completed the placing of 6.5 million new ordinary shares at 50 pence per share, generating gross proceeds of £3.25 million from high net worth investors. Zeus Capital Limited (搜索) served as sole bookrunner for the oversubscribed offering, which will result in the new shares representing approximately 1.6% of the company's enlarged share capital.
The net proceeds of approximately £3.1 million will be used to settle the October quarterly repayment of the unsecured convertible bond due on October 20, 2025. The placing shares are expected to commence trading on AIM at 8:00 am on September 12, 2025, following admission to the London Stock Exchange.
Strategic Bond Amendments Defer Payment Obligations
Avacta has secured significant amendments to its convertible bond issued by Avacta Finance Jersey Limited (搜索), providing crucial breathing room for the company's development programs. The key modifications include deferral of quarterly bond repayments and interest for January 20, 2026 and April 20, 2026 payment dates until October 20, 2027.
The conversion price of the convertible bond has been reduced from 88.72 pence to 75.0 pence, making conversion more attractive for bondholders.
