The financing round was led by Jeito Capital (搜索) and co-led by Forbion Growth (搜索), with additional participation from Seroba, Pictet Group, and existing investors Forbion Ventures, Schroders Capital, and BioGeneration Ventures (BGV).
Advancing Treatment for Devastating Rare Diseases
Nizubaglustat is being developed to treat Niemann-Pick disease Type C (搜索) (NPC) and GM1/GM2 gangliosidoses, rare genetic disorders that primarily affect children and cause progressive neurodegeneration. These lysosomal storage disorders (搜索) currently have limited or no disease-modifying treatment options available.

Nizubaglustat is a small molecule, orally available and brain-penetrant azasugar with a unique dual mode of action. The compound has received significant regulatory support, including:

- Orphan Drug Designations in both the US and Europe
- Fast Track Designation from the FDA
- Innovation Passport from the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency
