Garrison currently serves as executive vice president and president of the Medical Essentials and BioPharma Systems segments.

Leadership Transition and Organizational Restructuring
Garrison will remain in his role through the end of BD's fiscal year while the company conducts a comprehensive search for the next president of Medical Essentials. In a concurrent organizational shift, the BioPharma Systems segment will begin reporting directly to CEO Tom Polen. BD stated that this change is designed to streamline the operating model and reflects the segment's strategic importance as a growth driver.

A Career Spanning Multiple Leadership Roles
Garrison joined BD in 2005 and held several key leadership positions throughout his career at the company. His roles included executive vice president and president of BD's Medical segment, worldwide president of Medication Management Solutions, and worldwide president of Surgery. Prior to joining BD, Garrison held various roles across R&D and marketing within the broader MedTech industry.
