核心洞察
BeOne Medicines (搜索) announced a $300 million expansion of its Hopewell, New Jersey manufacturing and R&D center, bringing total investment at the Princeton West Innovation Campus to more than $1 billion.
The expansion adds a 145,000-square-foot facility for small molecule drug manufacturing and packaging, complementing existing biologics production and creating a fully integrated multi-platform site.
Approximately 120 new full-time positions will be created, with the total Hopewell workforce expected to reach about 240 employees by the end of 2029.
BeOne Medicines (搜索), Ltd. (Nasdaq: ONC; HKEX: 06160; SSE: 688235), a global oncology company, has announced a $300 million expansion of its flagship clinical and commercial-stage manufacturing and research and development center at the Princeton West Innovation Campus in Hopewell, New Jersey. This latest investment brings the company's total U.S. manufacturing commitment at the site to more than $1 billion.
The expansion involves construction of a new three-story, 145,000-square-foot building adjacent to BeOne's existing Hopewell facilities. Once completed, the total campus footprint will reach approximately 545,000 square feet, with the expanded facility anticipated to become fully operational by 2029.
Integrating Small Molecule and Biologics Capabilities
The new building will introduce small molecule drug product manufacturing and packaging operations to the campus, which already houses clinical and commercial-stage biologics manufacturing for the company's solid tumor portfolio. This addition transforms the Hopewell site into a fully integrated, multi-platform manufacturing center capable of supporting a broader range of pharmaceutical products under one roof.
The facility will also include quality control laboratories, office space, and capacity reserved for future growth. According to BeOne, the expanded site will provide additional flexibility to support strategic collaborations with partners and advance what the company describes as its "global development superhighway" — a fully internal platform of clinical, regulatory, and manufacturing capabilities.
Workforce and Economic Impact
The project is expected to create approximately 120 new full-time positions, increasing the total workforce at the Hopewell campus to approximately 240 employees by the end of 2029. BeOne, which is domiciled in Switzerland, employs over 12,000 colleagues across six continents, including more than 2,000 in the United States.
In 2025, the company generated nearly $2 billion in direct U.S. economic impact and invested approximately $1 billion in U.S. research and development. BeOne is currently conducting 93 clinical trials across 45 states and one territory at approximately 1,100 clinical trial sites, supported by more than 650 investigators.
Supporting a Deep Oncology Pipeline
The additional manufacturing capacity will support the continued advancement of BeOne's oncology pipeline, which includes more than 35 clinical and commercial-stage assets. These programs span multiple innovative modalities, including small molecules, biologics, targeted protein degraders, multispecific antibodies, and antibody drug conjugates.
The pipeline targets a wide range of cancers, including multiple blood cancers (搜索) as well as breast, gynecologic, lung, liver, gastrointestinal, and other tumor types. BeOne reports that it has delivered its cancer (搜索) therapies to more than 2 million patients globally.
Strategic Context
The Princeton West Innovation Campus originally opened in July 2024 following an initial investment of $800 million. The 42-acre site features more than one million square feet of developable real estate for future growth.
Aaron Rosenberg, Chief Financial Officer of BeOne Medicines (搜索), stated: "Today's announcement reflects BeOne's commitment to strengthening U.S. manufacturing and expanding access to innovative medicines for patients with cancer (搜索). We appreciate the federal tax policies advanced by the President that encourage investment in biopharmaceutical production, alongside the Next New Jersey Manufacturing Program and the Governor's efforts to support advanced manufacturing and high-quality job creation. Together, these efforts create an environment for long-term growth, and we are proud to continue expanding our global footprint in support of patients."
BeOne's global development superhighway combines one of the industry's largest oncology research teams with nearly 6,000 clinical development and manufacturing colleagues, a model the company says helps reduce the cost and time required to develop new medicines for cancer (搜索) patients worldwide.
