RAPT Therapeutics' Zelnecirnon Trials Placed on Clinical Hold
RAPT Therapeutics, Inc. (RAPT) announced that the FDA has placed a clinical hold on its phase IIb trial of zelnecirnon (RPT193) in atopic dermatitis (搜索) and phase IIa trial in asthma (搜索). This decision follows a serious adverse event of liver failure (搜索) in one patient participating in the atopic dermatitis trial. The cause of the liver failure is currently under investigation but is suspected to be related to zelnecirnon. Iovance Biotherapeutics' Amtagvi Receives Accelerated FDA Approval for Melanoma
Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc. (IOVA) has received accelerated approval from the FDA for lifileucel suspension for intravenous infusion, marketed under the brand name Amtagvi. This tumor-derived autologous T cell immunotherapy is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with unresectable or metastatic melanoma (搜索) who have previously been treated with a PD-1 (搜索) blocking antibody, and if BRAF (搜索) V600 mutation positive, a BRAF inhibitor with or without a MEK (搜索) inhibitor.
The FDA's accelerated approval was based on safety and efficacy data from the phase II C-144-01 study, which evaluated Amtagvi in patients with advanced melanoma (搜索) previously treated with anti-PD-1 (搜索) therapy and targeted therapy.
