The funding round included participation from Brabant Development Agency (搜索) (BOM) and an angel investor, joining lead investor Libertatis Ergo Holding (搜索) (LEH), with additional support from Brabant Startup Fund (搜索) (BSF).
The Netherlands-based company is developing best-in-class small molecule inhibitors (搜索) targeting NNMT (搜索), a metabolic enzyme highly expressed in metabolic tissues including liver, adipose tissue, and muscle. In preclinical studies, Cantoni's NNMT inhibitors (搜索) demonstrated the ability to reduce fat mass without negatively impacting lean mass, while improving metabolic health through increased energy expenditure.
Novel Mechanism Differentiates from Current Therapies
