The divestiture aligns with Certara's broader strategy to enhance its position as a leader in biosimulation software and technology. The company serves more than 2,600 biopharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, and regulatory agencies across 70 countries, using its platforms to transform traditional drug discovery and development processes.
Financial Performance and Transaction Details
The Regulatory and Medical Writing business demonstrated solid financial performance in 2025, generating $50 million in revenue and $17 million in adjusted EBITDA, excluding unallocated overhead expense. The business unit includes approximately 220 employees who will transition to Veristat (搜索) as part of the transaction.
The transaction is expected to close during the second quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. Certara plans to update its 2026 guidance to reflect the impact of the business sale upon transaction completion.
