CND Life Sciences Secures Growth Financing Led by S-Curve Partners to Expand Syn-One Test Platform for Neurodegenerative Diagnostics
核心洞察
CND Life Sciences (搜索) completed a growth financing round led by S-Curve Partners (搜索), with participation from existing investors, to accelerate expansion of its Syn-One Test (搜索) platform.
The Syn-One Test (搜索) is the first commercially available skin biopsy-based laboratory developed test that detects phosphorylated alpha-synuclein (搜索) to aid diagnosis of synucleinopathies including Parkinson's disease (搜索) and dementia with Lewy bodies (搜索).
Since its 2020 launch, the test has been ordered by more than 4,000 neurologists across the United States to support diagnostic evaluations for over 60,000 patients.
CND Life Sciences (搜索), a neurodiagnostics company focused on objective biomarker-based testing for neurodegenerative diseases, has completed a growth financing round led by S-Curve Partners (搜索), an operator-led healthcare investment firm. The financing, which also included participation from existing CND investors and shareholders, will provide capital to accelerate expansion of the company's Syn-One Test (搜索) platform and advance its precision neurology mission. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.
"We are pleased to deepen our relationship with S-Curve Partners (搜索) and grateful for the continued support of existing investors and shareholders," said Rick Morello, CND's Chief Executive Officer. "S-Curve's confidence in CND's mission reflects the progress our team has made in expanding clinical adoption and advancing the science behind our scalable neurodiagnostics platform."
The Syn-One Test: A Skin Biopsy-Based Diagnostic Platform
CND Life Sciences (搜索) is best known for the Syn-One Test (搜索), the first commercially available skin biopsy-based laboratory developed test (LDT) designed to detect abnormal, or phosphorylated, alpha-synuclein (搜索) and other pathological markers. The Syn-One platform assists clinicians in evaluating patients with suspected Parkinson's disease (搜索), dementia with Lewy bodies (搜索), multiple system atrophy (搜索), REM sleep behavior disorder (搜索), and related synucleinopathies.
Since its commercial launch in 2020, the Syn-One Test (搜索) has been ordered by more than 4,000 neurologists and other clinicians across the United States to support the diagnostic evaluation of more than 60,000 patients. The platform is supported by a growing body of peer-reviewed clinical evidence assessing cutaneous phosphorylated alpha-synuclein (搜索) as a biomarker of synucleinopathies.
Strategic Deployment of Growth Capital
Proceeds from the financing will support sustained growth of the Syn-One platform, expansion of commercial initiatives, product innovation, strategic partnerships, and incorporation of Syn-One into a broader multimodal biomarker capability designed to support clinical diagnosis and disease characterization of neurodegenerative disorders. The financing comes at a time of heightened interest in objective biomarkers, earlier diagnosis, and precision medicine approaches within neurology.
"As a neurologist, I am encouraged to see the neuroscience field move toward multimodal biomarkers and earlier intervention," said Todd Levine, MD, CND's Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder. "This financing gives us the flexibility to invest in innovation, expand access to the Syn-One platform, and strengthen our pharmaceutical and research relationships."
Addressing Diagnostic Gaps in Neurodegenerative Disease
The investment reflects growing recognition of the diagnostic challenges that persist in neurodegenerative diseases. "Neurodegenerative diseases remain among the most underdiagnosed and misdiagnosed conditions in medicine, and as disease-modifying therapies emerge, objective biomarkers will only become more essential for clinicians, patients, researchers, and pharmaceutical companies," said Daniel Livschutz, Founding Partner of S-Curve Partners (搜索).
Livschutz further noted that the firm believes CND has built one of the most differentiated platforms in neurodiagnostics, and the financing is intended to accelerate its evolution "from a category-defining product to a broader platform supporting earlier diagnosis, disease differentiation, and more personalized care."
Expanding Research and Biopharmaceutical Collaborations
Beyond its commercial diagnostic operations, CND Life Sciences (搜索) collaborates with biopharmaceutical companies on clinical trials for investigational therapies and is conducting studies on early disease detection and synuclein quantification. The company's research efforts aim to support future advances in precision neurology, aligning with the broader industry shift toward biomarker-driven drug development and patient stratification in neurodegenerative disease.
