The Berkeley Heights, New Jersey-based company revealed that CEO Joseph Todisco has signed an extended employment contract and will assume the additional role of Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Executive Leadership Expansion
The company has appointed Mike Seckler as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, bringing extensive experience across multiple therapeutic areas including hematology and oncology. Seckler most recently served as CEO of Evome Medical Technologies Inc (搜索). and previously held key positions at FerGene Inc (搜索)., a joint partnership between Blackstone Life Sciences (搜索) and Ferring Pharmaceuticals focused on gene therapy, where he served as Chief Operating Officer.

Expanded Product Portfolio
Following its August 2025 acquisition of Melinta Therapeutics LLC (搜索), CorMedix has significantly expanded its commercial portfolio beyond its flagship product DefenCath® (taurolidine and heparin), which is approved for preventing catheter-related bloodstream infections (搜索) in adult hemodialysis patients. The company now commercializes multiple anti-infective products including MINOCIN® (minocycline) for Injection, REZZAYO® (rezafungin), VABOMERE® (meropenem and vaborbactam), ORBACTIV™ (oritavancin), BAXDELA® (delafloxacin), KIMYRSA® (oritavancin), and TOPROL-XL (搜索)® (metoprolol succinate).
Clinical Development Pipeline
CorMedix maintains active clinical development programs, including ongoing studies for DefenCath in Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and Pediatric Hemodialysis populations. The company also plans to develop DefenCath as a catheter lock solution for additional patient populations. REZZAYO, currently approved for treating candidemia (搜索) and invasive candidiasis (搜索) in adults, has an ongoing Phase III study for the prophylaxis of invasive fungal disease (搜索) (IFD) in adult patients undergoing allogeneic bone marrow transplantation, with topline results expected in Q2 2026.
