The partnership covers the United States, Canada, and Australia, with DePuy Synthes also securing rights of first negotiation for additional global markets.
Novel Growth Factor Technology Addresses Clinical Gaps
NOVOSIS represents a novel approach to bone grafting, incorporating growth factors (搜索) designed to address unmet needs associated with existing solutions and support improved clinical outcomes. The technology will be integrated across DePuy Synthes' comprehensive orthopaedic portfolio, including spine, craniomaxillofacial (CMF), and trauma specialties.

Clinical Development and Regulatory Progress
An investigational device exemption (IDE) study for spine procedures has been approved by the FDA and is actively enrolling patients in the United States to evaluate safety and effectiveness. If supported by clinical data and regulatory approval, NOVOSIS will expand treatment options within DePuy Synthes' spine portfolio.
The collaboration leverages the complementary strengths of both companies and builds upon the success of NOVOSIS in other international markets as the companies advance clinical development and prepare for future commercialization in key markets.
Expanding Global Footprint
This agreement represents the second major distribution partnership for NOVOSIS. Johnson & Johnson and CGBIO (搜索) previously entered into an exclusive distribution and promotional agreement for NOVOSIS in Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, India, Hong Kong, and Macau in February 2025, establishing a foundation for the technology's international expansion.
Strategic Portfolio Enhancement
The partnership strengthens DePuy Synthes' position in the regenerative medicine space, adding a differentiated bone graft substitute to complement its existing comprehensive orthopaedics portfolio. DePuy Synthes currently provides solutions across joint reconstruction, trauma, extremities, craniomaxillofacial, spinal surgery, and sports medicine, alongside the VELYS Digital Surgery portfolio.
