Dyadic Applied BioSolutions Expands Strategic Partnerships to Accelerate Commercial Growth of Recombinant Protein Portfolio
核心洞察
Dyadic Applied BioSolutions (搜索) has expanded its strategic collaboration with Fermbox Bio (搜索) to manufacture and commercialize an expanding portfolio of animal-free proteins and enzymes using both Dapibus™ and C1 expression systems.
The company established a commercial partnership with Opes Diagnostics Limited (搜索) to accelerate market entry for recombinant human and bovine transferrin (搜索) and FGF products in Europe, Israel, and Asia.
These partnerships enable dual-sourcing flexibility and strengthen Dyadic's capacity to deliver scalable solutions across life sciences, food and nutrition, and bioindustrial sectors.
Dyadic Applied BioSolutions (搜索) (NASDAQ: DYAI) has announced two significant strategic partnerships aimed at accelerating the commercialization of its recombinant protein portfolio across global markets. The biotechnology company, which specializes in producing precision-engineered, animal-free proteins and enzymes, revealed an expanded collaboration with Fermbox Bio (搜索) and a new commercial agreement with Opes Diagnostics Limited (搜索).
Expanded Fermbox Bio Collaboration
The expanded partnership with Fermbox Bio (搜索), a biotech research and manufacturing company, broadens the range of products, platforms, and commercial opportunities the companies will jointly deliver to market. Building on their longstanding relationship, this agreement enables Fermbox Bio to manufacture and commercialize an expanding portfolio of Dyadic-developed proteins and enzymes using both the Dapibus™ and C1 expression systems.
Key elements of the expanded collaboration include manufacture of multiple Dyadic-origin products by Fermbox Bio (搜索), enabling efficient production and market expansion of sustainable, animal-free proteins and enzymes. The agreement also provides dual-sourcing flexibility, allowing both companies to supply production strains and finished products produced via C1, Dapibus™, or alternative microbial systems.
"This expanded collaboration significantly enhances Dyadic's go-to-market capabilities by combining our high-productivity microbial platforms with Fermbox's robust manufacturing infrastructure," said Joe Hazelton, President & Chief Operating Officer of Dyadic. "Fermbox will be producing multiple Dyadic-developed proteins and enzymes at a commercial scale, allowing us to broaden our product portfolio and accelerate commercialization across life sciences, food and nutrition, and bioindustrial markets."
The partnership also allows integration of Fermbox-developed products into the joint commercial portfolio and establishes a jointly managed, continuously updated product pipeline, allowing the companies to add new commercial opportunities as markets and customer needs evolve.
Opes Diagnostics Partnership
Simultaneously, Dyadic announced a commercial agreement with Opes Diagnostics Limited (搜索) to support the commercial launch of Dyadic's recombinant human transferrin (搜索), bovine transferrin (搜索), human FGF (搜索), and bovine FGF (搜索) products for use in serum-free cell culture media applications in the life science, food and nutrition markets.
Under the agreement, Opes will leverage its existing commercial relationships and market experience to identify and engage potential customers primarily in Europe, Israel, and Asia to accelerate market entry for Dyadic's recombinant protein portfolio in cell culture media and related applications, while Dyadic retains the ability to sell directly and to work with additional partners globally.
The collaboration is intended to accelerate the penetration of Dyadic's recombinant protein products produced using its microbial expression platforms in industries including research, diagnostics, cultured meat and life sciences biomanufacturing that require reliable, scalable, and cost-effective sources of growth factors and functional proteins. Opes has already sampled multiple customers utilizing serum free cell culture media in life sciences, food and nutrition applications.
Strategic Commercial Shift
"This collaboration supports our commercial objectives by extending our recombinant protein portfolio in target markets with a partner that has strong, existing sector relationships within the sectors we serve," said Hazelton. "Opes' market presence and customer network are expected to help drive adoption of Dyadic's cell culture media products into expanding markets and to further our shift from primarily development activities to broader commercial engagement."
Subramani "Subbu" Ramachchandrappa, CEO of Fermbox Bio (搜索), commented: "This expanded partnership with Dyadic reflects our commitment to build and share value by collaboratively leveraging complementary capabilities to develop and scale a broad pipeline of precision fermentation–derived bioproducts. By combining our strengths, we will accelerate Product Development, large-scale biomanufacturing and co-commercialization of bio-based products across life sciences, food and nutrition, and bio-industrial markets."
Market Impact
Collectively, these expanded rights and capabilities will accelerate product development, shorten commercialization timelines, and strengthen the Company's reach into high-growth markets, particularly recombinant proteins for life sciences and food and nutrition, where demand for sustainable, economically viable animal-free ingredients continues to increase.
The partnerships represent Dyadic's strategic approach to leveraging its proprietary C1 and Dapibus™ expression systems, which support flexible, cost-effective manufacturing and serve as the foundation of a growing portfolio of commercial and partnered programs across multiple sectors.
