Dyne Therapeutics has announced significant changes to its leadership team with the appointments of Vikram (Vik) Ranade, PhD, as Chief Business Officer (CBO) and Ranjan (Ron) Batra, PhD, as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO), positioning the company for its next phase of growth as it advances treatments for genetically driven neuromuscular diseases.
Dr. Ranade joins Dyne effective immediately from Tessera Therapeutics (搜索), where he served as senior vice president of corporate development. In his new role, he will lead business development, corporate strategy, and strategic partnerships to support Dyne's late-stage clinical programs and commercialization plans. During his tenure at Tessera, Dr. Ranade played a key role in securing equity financings exceeding $600 million. His prior experience includes advising biopharmaceutical companies at McKinsey & Company, where he led diligence on completed deals worth more than $15 billion.
Dr. Batra will assume the CSO position effective April 28, 2025, coming from Lexeo Therapeutics where he was vice president of research and translation. A recognized expert in RNA biology and therapeutics, Dr. Batra previously served as senior vice president of R&D at LocanaBio (搜索), where he advanced RNA-targeted therapies for rare disorders including Duchenne muscular dystrophy (搜索) and myotonic dystrophy. His scientific contributions include more than 35 publications and patents from his work at UC San Diego and the University of Florida.
As part of this leadership restructuring, current CSO Oxana Beskrovnaya, PhD, will transition to the role of Chief Innovation Officer (CIO), where she will focus on driving Dyne's innovation strategy to maximize the value of its FORCE (搜索)™ platform technology.

Myotonic dystrophy type 1 (搜索) (DM1) is the most common form of adult-onset muscular dystrophy, characterized by progressive muscle weakness, myotonia, and multi-system involvement.
