Raxibacumab Clinical Profile
Raxibacumab is indicated for the treatment of adult and pediatric patients with inhalational anthrax (搜索) caused by Bacillus anthracis (搜索), administered in combination with appropriate antibacterial drugs. The monoclonal antibody also serves as prophylaxis for inhalational anthrax when alternative therapies are not available or appropriate.
The drug's effectiveness is based solely on efficacy studies conducted in animal models of inhalational anthrax (搜索), as no human efficacy studies have been performed. For pediatric patients, dosing was derived using an extrapolation approach, as no dedicated pediatric studies have been conducted.
Safety Considerations
