Clinical Development Nears Completion
FYB206 is currently approaching the end of its clinical development phase, with Formycon expecting results for the primary endpoint in the first quarter of 2026. This timeline positions the biosimilar for potential regulatory submissions and market entry in the coming years.

Strategic Partnership Builds on Established Collaboration
The agreement leverages an existing successful partnership between the two companies, which has already been implemented for Formycon's biosimilars FYB201, FYB202, and FYB203. MS Pharma (搜索) brings established local capabilities and an advanced manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia to support regional distribution.

Pembrolizumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody and immune checkpoint inhibitor, is used to treat a variety of tumors. With global sales of $29.5 billion in 2024, Keytruda ranks among the world's best-selling drugs. In the MENA region specifically, estimated sales reached approximately $240 million, positioning it as the highest-selling biologic in the region and highlighting substantial oncology demand and market potential.
Financial Terms and Regional Impact
Under the agreement terms, Formycon will receive an upfront payment and will be eligible for additional payments contingent on achieving certain development and regulatory milestones. The company will also receive a significant share of gross profits generated in the region.
MS Pharma (搜索) operates five manufacturing facilities across Jordan, Algeria, and Saudi Arabia, employing over 2,000 people across 12 countries. The company aims to contribute to greater treatment availability while supporting national strategies focused on localization, resilience, and sustainable access to oncology care.
Biosimilar Market Context
The biosimilar market represents a growing opportunity as biopharmaceutical patents expire. By 2032, 45 blockbuster drugs with an estimated total annual global turnover of more than $200 billion will lose patent protection. Global sales of biosimilars currently amount to around $21 billion, with analysts projecting growth to over $74 billion by 2030.
Formycon already has two biosimilars on the market (FYB201/ranibizumab and FYB202/ustekinumab) and another approved by regulatory authorities (FYB203/aflibercept). Four pipeline candidates, including FYB208/dupilumab, are currently in development.
