Genflow Biosciences (搜索) Plc, Europe's only publicly listed longevity company, has signed two Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs) with leading animal health companies to advance its proprietary SIRT6 (搜索)-centenarian gene therapy platform. The agreements announced on September 15, 2025, mark a significant milestone in the company's strategy to leverage its longevity technology for both human and animal health applications.
Building on Promising Canine Trial Results
The CDAs build on Genflow's ongoing GF-1004 Dog Aging study in beagles, which has reported no adverse events to date. This safety profile provides a foundation for the company's expansion into the animal health sector, where the agreements will facilitate data exchange and initiate discussions on potential collaborations aimed at extending healthspan and improving quality of life in companion animals.
The animal health market represents a rapidly growing and high-value segment, offering Genflow an opportunity to diversify its therapeutic applications while advancing its core longevity platform.
Strategic Partnership Approach
According to Dr. Eric Leire, CEO of Genflow, the strategic rationale centers on combining the company's first-in-class science with the resources of large pharmaceutical partners to accelerate commercialization. "The signing of these CDAs reflects strong industry interest in our longevity platform and represents a further step toward building strategic partnerships in animal health," Leire commented.
The partnerships are designed to derisk execution and maximize shareholder value by providing access to global scale, regulatory expertise, and commercial infrastructure. This approach could accelerate both revenue generation and market penetration more quickly than independent development.
SIRT6-Centenarian Gene Therapy Platform
Genflow's proprietary platform centers on the SIRT6 (搜索)-centenarian gene therapy, which works through delivery of a centenarian variant of the SIRT6 gene. The company's lead compound, GF-1002, has yielded promising preclinical results and is currently being evaluated in a 12-month proof-of-concept clinical trial in aged dogs that began in March 2025.
Founded in 2020, Genflow Biosciences (搜索) is headquartered in the UK with R&D facilities in Belgium. The company is pioneering gene therapies to decelerate the aging process with the goal of promoting longer and healthier lives while mitigating the financial, emotional, and social impacts of a fast-growing aging global population.
Future Development Pipeline
Beyond the animal health applications, Genflow has planned additional clinical programs for 2025, including a clinical trial exploring the potential benefits of GF-1002 in treating MASH (搜索) (Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis (搜索)), described as the most prevalent chronic liver disease for which there are no effective treatments.
The CDAs provide a framework for evaluating partnership opportunities that could lead to licensing agreements and future commercialization in the animal health sector, while the company continues to advance its human health applications.
