Harbour BioMed and BioMap Launch MegaStream TechBio to Build AI-Native Complex Biologics Platform
核心洞察
Harbour BioMed (搜索) and BioMap (搜索) jointly announced the formation of MegaStream TechBio (搜索), a next-generation AI-native pipeline company targeting cardiovascular, renal, oncology, and anti-aging indications.
The partnership integrates Harbour BioMed (搜索)'s proprietary Harbour Mice® fully human antibody platform with BioMap (搜索)'s 268-billion-parameter xTrimo life science foundation models to enable end-to-end AI-driven biologics design.
A new intelligent dry–wet closed loop discovery laboratory is projected to deliver over 500% efficiency gains and generate more than 5 petabytes of AI-ready data within five years.
Harbour BioMed (搜索) and BioMap (搜索) have announced a multi-dimensional, long-term strategic partnership to launch MegaStream TechBio (搜索), a next-generation AI-native pipeline company designed to systematically overcome critical bottlenecks in complex biologics discovery and development. The announcement, made on June 15, 2026 from Cambridge, Mass., Rotterdam, Netherlands, and Shanghai, establishes MegaStream as a globally focused entity integrating proprietary datasets, purpose-built large models, and a large-scale innovative pipeline portfolio into a unified AI-powered R&D engine.
The new company will concentrate on addressing critical unmet clinical needs across cardiovascular, renal, oncology, and anti-aging therapeutic areas, with First-in-Class (FIC) and Best-in-Class (BIC) assets serving as its core development benchmarks.
A Three-Pillar Strategic Framework
As co-founding partners, Harbour BioMed (搜索) and BioMap (搜索) will jointly advance three core strategic pillars underpinning MegaStream's operations.
The first pillar involves building a world-leading proprietary AI-driven drug discovery (AIDD) infrastructure platform. This platform will be powered by BioMap (搜索)'s premier life science foundation models, xTrimo, combined with the massive, high-quality datasets generated by Harbour BioMed (搜索)'s proprietary Harbour Mice® fully human antibody platform. The two companies have built a dedicated, self-evolving MegaStream large model that will be deeply optimized for next-generation complex biologic modalities, including multispecific antibodies, XDC conjugates, in vivo CAR-T, and inhaled or oral biologics. The model is designed to deliver end-to-end AI-driven design, from sequence generation to developability optimization.
The second pillar focuses on constructing a next-generation integrated dry–wet closed loop discovery laboratory. By integrating Harbour BioMed (搜索)'s extensive proprietary experimental capabilities with BioMap (搜索)'s expertise in automated discovery orchestration—delivered through the BioMap OS discovery platform—the laboratory will achieve four core breakthroughs: fully intelligent orchestration, high-performance experimental validation, comprehensive automated data capture and analysis, and highly efficient AI modeling and model evolution. Together, these capabilities form a complete Design-Build-Test-Learn (DBTL) automated closed loop. Once operational, the AI-native laboratory is projected to deliver greater than 500% efficiency gains over previous-generation platforms. Data accumulation efficiency is expected to increase by more than 10-fold, with the system generating over 5 petabytes of high-quality, AI-ready life science data within five years to continuously fuel rapid AI model evolution.
The third pillar aims to scale up next-generation R&D pipelines, creating an end-to-end loop from AI creation to clinical value. Harbour BioMed (搜索) and BioMap (搜索)'s first AI-plus-biotech-driven FIC pipeline collaboration dates back to 2021, encompassing property prediction, optimization, and generative design across more than 10 pipeline programs. The newly established AI platform is expected to substantially enhance FIC and BIC discovery capabilities, enabling the advancement of hundreds of innovative programs in parallel. By replacing traditional repetitive screening with AI model predictions and targeted, high-precision validation, the platform will produce pipeline molecules with superior performance metrics, more comprehensive multi-objective optimization, and more precise programmable control.
Leadership Perspectives
Dr. Jingsong Wang, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Harbour BioMed (搜索) and Chairman of MegaStream TechBio (搜索), emphasized the transformative nature of the collaboration: "This partnership opens a new chapter in biopharmaceutical innovation. We bring over a decade of world-class, proprietary antibody data from our Harbour Mice® platform. BioMap (搜索) brings a 268-billion-parameter life science AI engine. Together, we are closing the loop from AI molecular design to clinical development—systematically raising the speed and success rate of next-generation complex biologics discovery."
Mr. Wei Liu, Co-Founder and CEO of BioMap (搜索), highlighted the unprecedented nature of the infrastructure being built: "Harbour BioMed (搜索)'s Harbour Mice® and Hu-mAtrIx™ platforms are the gold standard in data-rich antibody engineering.
