The SFN group was administered 1,700 mg of Avmacol Extra Strength SFN daily for 24 weeks.

The study utilized the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) to measure symptom severity, finding a notable decrease in negative symptom scores among SFN-treated patients.
