Clinical Trial Results Show Dramatic Time Reduction
The 100-patient PRIME study (NCT06930534), conducted at Yale School of Medicine, randomized patients to receive MRI evaluation with either Hyperfine's Swoop Portable MRI (搜索) system or conventional MRI. The trial revealed a median time from imaging order to scan start of 1.28 hours in the portable MRI group versus 7.76 hours in the control arm, representing a median difference of 6.35 hours.
"Portable MRI has the potential to meaningfully reduce emergency department boarding by helping to alleviate delays associated with waiting for access to conventional MRI," said Dr. Kevin Sheth, professor of neurology and neurosurgery at the Yale School of Medicine and principal investigator for the PRIME study. "Reducing imaging-related bottlenecks may help emergency department teams move patients through care pathways more efficiently while maintaining access to advanced neuroimaging."

International Expansion and Clinical Impact
Hyperfine has expanded its reach internationally with the deployment of the Swoop system at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, marking the first hospital in India to deploy bedside MRI for routine clinical use. The deployment is conducted in collaboration with Radiosurgery Global Ltd (搜索)., the exclusive Swoop system distributor in India.

Addressing Healthcare Barriers
The technology addresses significant barriers in neuroimaging access across diverse healthcare settings. For critically ill patients in ICUs, trauma bays, neurosurgery wards, neonatal units, and emergency departments, transport to conventional MRI is often not feasible, potentially delaying diagnosis and treatment.
The Swoop system supports multiple clinical applications including rapid bedside brain (搜索) imaging for acute stroke (搜索) care, timely assessment of traumatic brain injury (搜索), ongoing neurological monitoring for critically ill patients, safe brain imaging for infants in PICUs, community-based point-of-care brain imaging, and post-operative monitoring without moving vulnerable patients.

Hyperfine received a $40 million loan facility from Horizon Technology (搜索) in March 2026, which the company stated would be used to expand Swoop's reach throughout healthcare and office settings in the US and globally. The AIIMS New Delhi (搜索) deployment establishes a foundation for clinical research, with plans to document outcomes and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
