Infinite Epigenetics Acquires Tally Health in Largest Epigenetic Age Testing Deal
核心洞察
Infinite Epigenetics (搜索) has acquired Tally Health (搜索) in the largest deal in epigenetic age testing, creating a vertically integrated platform spanning advanced diagnostics and personalized longevity interventions.
The acquisition combines Infinite Epigenetics (搜索)' scientific infrastructure and world's largest private DNA methylation (搜索) datasets with Tally Health (搜索)'s consumer-focused longevity platform and proprietary intellectual property.
Tally Health (搜索) will remain a standalone consumer brand under CEO Melanie Goldey, while leveraging the parent company's CLIA-certified laboratory and research partnerships with Harvard, Yale, Duke (搜索), and Stanford (搜索).
Infinite Epigenetics (搜索), a global leader in epigenetic science and biological age testing, has acquired Tally Health (搜索) in what the company describes as the largest asset purchase in epigenetic age testing. The acquisition brings together two category leaders to create a vertically integrated platform spanning advanced epigenetic diagnostics, the world's largest private adult DNA methylation (搜索) datasets, and personalized longevity interventions.
The deal combines Infinite Epigenetics (搜索)' scientific infrastructure with Tally Health (搜索)'s consumer-focused platform, which was co-founded by Dr. David Sinclair and Whitney Casey. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Strategic Vision for Epigenetic Healthcare
"We believe epigenetics will underpin the next generation of medical diagnostics, shifting healthcare from reactive treatment to proactive, data-driven prevention," said Dr. Matthew Dawson, CEO of Infinite Epigenetics (搜索) and its subsidiary TruDiagnostic (搜索). "Our ambition is to build a category-defining diagnostics platform. By combining our scientific infrastructure, proprietary data, and clinical capabilities with Tally Health (搜索)'s consumer reach, we can accelerate the adoption of epigenetics across healthcare – from research and clinical settings to population-scale applications."
The acquisition positions the combined entity to accelerate development of next-generation diagnostics and interventions, expanding epigenetics from research and lifestyle applications into mainstream healthcare applications.
Complementary Platforms and Capabilities
Infinite Epigenetics (搜索) operates through its subsidiary TruDiagnostic (搜索), which maintains a CLIA-certified laboratory and proprietary analytical platforms. The company's flagship testing products include TruAge (搜索) and TruHealth (搜索), which provide insights into epigenetic aging (搜索) and system-level health. The science behind TruDiagnostic is supported by more than 115 research partnerships with top institutions including Harvard, Yale, Duke (搜索), and Stanford (搜索).
Tally Health (搜索) complements this scientific foundation with a consumer platform designed to make longevity science accessible through its TallyAge Test (搜索), delivered via an at-home cheek swab. The company also offers a suite of science-backed supplements and personalized recommendations targeting core drivers of aging. Tally Health launched in 2023 and draws on a DNA methylation (搜索) dataset of approximately 8,000 initial participants to evaluate consumers' epigenetic ages.
Leadership and Brand Strategy
Following the transaction, Tally Health (搜索) will remain a standalone consumer brand to preserve the trust, momentum, and brand equity it has built. Dr. Matthew Dawson will continue as CEO of Infinite Epigenetics (搜索) and TruDiagnostic (搜索), while Melanie Goldey will remain CEO of Tally Health, leading the consumer business.
"From day one, Tally Health (搜索) was built to take the most advanced science of aging and make it actionable for everyday people," said Goldey. "Joining Infinite Epigenetics (搜索) allows us to dramatically accelerate that mission by combining best-in-class data, scientific rigor, and consumer experience to deliver a truly end-to-end longevity platform."
Scientific Foundation and Market Expansion
The acquisition brings together proprietary datasets with exclusively licensed intellectual property originating from academia. Tally Health (搜索) contributes proprietary, exclusively licensed intellectual property, models, and datasets related to DNA methylation (搜索) and longevity science, having been seeded by leading consumer-focused investment firm L Catterton (搜索).
"Epigenetics is one of the most powerful tools we have to understand the biological drivers of aging and disease," said Dr. David Sinclair, co-founder of Tally Health (搜索) and Professor of Genetics at Harvard Medical School. "Given that our health is our most important asset, I'm excited to see technologies from my Harvard lab being translated into real-world applications to improve health. This combination brings together the scale of data, scientific rigor, and consumer reach needed to accelerate that impact."
Consumer Market Development
Tally Health (搜索)'s consumer platform initially attracted biohackers who skewed male, though most growth has come from women aged 30 to 60. Goldey noted that these consumers often serve as "chief medical officers of the home," making health decisions for themselves, their children, and aging parents.
The company's intervention strategy includes two main components: personalized health and wellness recommendations, and six proprietary supplements targeting areas such as sleep, metabolic health, and brain health. The metabolic health supplement helps maintain blood glucose levels and provides energy boosts, while the brain health supplement has proven particularly popular among consumers.
Together, the companies will focus on accelerating product innovation, expanding consumer access, and deepening the integration of diagnostics and personalized interventions as they work to establish epigenetics as a cornerstone of preventive healthcare.
