The clearance marks the fourth software launch for the platform in 18 months, reflecting the company's stated goal of advancing its robotically-assisted bronchoscopy system.
The MONARCH platform is intended to provide flexible, robotically assisted visualization and access to patient airways for both diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscope procedures. MONARCH QUEST 3 (搜索) introduces further enhancements to planning and navigation, helping clinicians address computed tomography (CT)-to-body divergence and anatomical changes that can occur during bronchoscopy.
AI-Powered Planning and Navigation Enhancements
MONARCH QUEST 3 (搜索) features AI-powered nodule segmentation intended to allow more accurate nodule boundary generation in pre-procedural planning. Additional enhancements include improved registration and navigation accuracy, as well as a new 3D Compass overlay designed to assist clinicians in orienting the bronchoscope tip in relation to patient anatomy.
The software update also increases compatibility with a range of mobile and fixed CBCT imaging systems, intended to help clinicians use existing imaging tools for targeting lung nodules and managing CT-to-body divergence. In a clinical evaluation, 679 patients received a robotic-assisted bronchoscopy with median lesion size 18.5 (13.5-26.5) mm and median distance from pleural surface 5 (0-16) mm.
