LIXTE Biotechnology Holdings (搜索) announced plans to double enrollment in its ongoing clinical trial evaluating the combination of its proprietary compound LB-100 with GSK's Dostarlimab for treating ovarian clear cell cancer (搜索). The expansion will increase patient enrollment from 21 to 42 participants across two leading cancer (搜索) centers.
The trial, initiated in January 2024, is being conducted in collaboration with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and GSK. Lead clinical investigator Amir Jazaeri, MD, Professor of Gynecologic Oncology at MD Anderson, is directing the study. A second trial site was added at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center (搜索) of Northwestern University, led by Emily M. Hinchcliff, MD, MPH.
Novel Therapeutic Approach
LB-100 represents a first-in-class PP2A (搜索) inhibitor that LIXTE has demonstrated to be well-tolerated in cancer (搜索) patients at doses associated with anti-cancer activity. The compound is part of what the company describes as a pioneering effort in "activation lethality," an entirely new field of cancer biology advancing a new treatment paradigm.

Trial Expansion and Timeline
The decision to expand enrollment follows successful achievement of the initial target of 21 patients earlier this year. LIXTE expects to present data from the initial 21 patients in the first half of 2026, providing the first clinical insights into this novel combination approach.
