A Distinguished Career in Genetic Medicines
Dr. Sepp-Lorenzino most recently served as Chief Scientific Officer of Intellia Therapeutics, where she played a pivotal role in advancing the company's CRISPR-based pipeline. Prior to Intellia, she held leadership positions at Vertex Pharmaceuticals as Head of Nucleic Acid Therapies, and at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals (搜索), where she led hepatic infectious disease programs and served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence. She began her industrial career at Merck & Co. (搜索), leading RNAi and oncology drug discovery efforts.
Her current board and advisory commitments span the gene and cell therapy landscape. Dr. Sepp-Lorenzino serves on the board of directors of Taysha Gene Therapies, Asklepios Biopharmaceutical (搜索) (AskBio), Lexeo Therapeutics, and URSA Medicines. She also holds leadership roles within the Oligonucleotide Therapeutics Society (OTS), where she is President Elect, and the American Society of Cell and Gene Therapy (ASGCT). Additionally, she serves on the scientific advisory boards of ThermoFisher Scientific (搜索), Galtec, and Inverna Therapeutics, and is an editorial board member of Nucleic Acid Therapeutics and Molecular Therapy Nucleic Acids.
Dr. Sepp-Lorenzino holds a professional degree in Biochemistry from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from New York University.
