The Dallas-based Cost Plus Drugs (搜索), launched in 2022 by billionaire Mark Cuban and Dr. Alex Oshmyansky, will now allow program participants to pick up qualifying prescriptions at Giant Eagle (搜索) pharmacy locations. Team Cuban pharmacy benefit cards can be used at these locations as part of the expanded retailer network.
Direct-to-Consumer Drug Pricing Model
Cost Plus Drugs (搜索) operates on a transparent pricing model that sources medications directly from manufacturers and through partnerships with wholesalers. The company aims to reduce prescription costs by eliminating the need for pharmacy benefit managers and negotiating prices directly with drug manufacturers. Additionally, the company operates its own manufacturing facility in Dallas.

The partnership represents Cost Plus Drugs (搜索)' first major expansion into the Pittsburgh region, where it previously worked with independent pharmacy chains. Giant Eagle (搜索) CEO Bill Artman emphasized the company's commitment to accessible pharmaceutical services.
