The transaction marks another step in McKesson's effort to deepen its oncology and multispecialty footprint while strengthening its clinical research and commercialization capabilities.
Following completion of the transaction, Precision Medicine Group (搜索) will report within McKesson's Oncology & Multispecialty segment. Precision Medicine Group supports next-generation approaches to drug development and commercialization, providing biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies with integrated services and technology-enabled products that span biomarker intelligence, lab services, a global clinical research organization, market access consulting, and commercialization support.
