MEDSIR and Ataraxis AI Launch Strategic Collaboration to Integrate AI Platform in Breast Cancer Clinical Trials
核心洞察
MEDSIR (搜索) and Ataraxis AI (搜索) have announced a strategic collaboration to integrate artificial intelligence into multiple major international breast cancer trials involving data from more than 1,000 patients.
The partnership will evaluate Ataraxis Breast, an AI-native platform that combines digital pathology slides with clinical data to predict patient outcomes and treatment effects across HR+ (搜索) and HER2+ (搜索) breast cancer subtypes.
The collaboration aims to identify biomarkers that can optimize treatment strategies for breast cancer, including therapies with CDK4/6 inhibitors and antibody-drug conjugates.
MEDSIR (搜索) (Medica Scientia Innovation Research), a global leader in oncology research, and Ataraxis AI (搜索), a frontier laboratory developing artificial intelligence-powered prognostic tools for oncology, have announced a strategic collaboration to integrate artificial intelligence into multiple major international breast cancer trials. The partnership will evaluate data from more than 1,000 patients across randomized clinical trials to identify biomarkers that can optimize treatment strategies for breast cancer, including therapies with CDK4/6 inhibitors and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
AI Platform Addresses Treatment Selection Challenge
The collaboration centers on Ataraxis Breast, described as the first AI-native platform in breast cancer developed to predict patient outcomes and treatment effects. The platform integrates insights from standard digital pathology slides with clinical data to provide an evidence-based layer supporting treatment decisions and personalizing care.
"Breast cancer treatment continues to improve, with new therapies becoming available every year. However, this creates a challenge in selecting the right drug at the right time," said Jan Witowski, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Ataraxis AI (搜索). "At Ataraxis, we are developing AI-native tools to accurately predict patient outcomes and treatment response for all cancer patients."
Focus on Key Breast Cancer Subtypes
Building upon Ataraxis' previous positive clinical validation results showing efficacy across major breast cancer subtypes, the research collaboration will focus on leveraging artificial intelligence to predict outcomes across key breast cancer subtypes—including HR+ (搜索) and HER2+ (搜索) cohorts—encompassing patients in early-stage and metastatic settings. The goal is to enhance clinical decision-making by integrating AI-driven insights into routine oncology workflows.
According to the companies, Ataraxis Breast provides greater accuracy than standard of care genomic assays in supporting personalized treatment decisions for patients with breast cancer.
Moving Beyond Retrospective Studies
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in building clinical evidence for Ataraxis Breast, moving beyond retrospective observational studies and into prospective trials investigating new therapies. The partnership addresses the critical need for selecting the right drug for every patient as new therapeutics create both opportunities and challenges in treatment selection.
"At MEDSIR (搜索), we are committed to accelerating innovation in oncology through collaborative research that brings real value to patients and clinicians," said Alicia García, Scientific Director at MEDSIR. "Partnering with Ataraxis AI (搜索) allows us to integrate cutting-edge artificial intelligence into clinical trials, generating evidence that can transform treatment decision-making in breast cancer."
Global Research Networks
The announcement demonstrates the commitment to building global collaborative networks for both organizations. MEDSIR (搜索) has built an extensive global network of more than 600 researchers and has conducted 65 clinical trials across more than 200 sites in 14 countries, with strategic headquarters in Europe and the United States.
Ataraxis AI (搜索) has established partnerships with over 40 institutions on the development, validation, and deployment of AI-based tools for treatment selection. MEDSIR (搜索) has been a key contributor to oncology clinical trials, helping support the advancement of transformative therapies into standard practice, expanding access to novel treatment options and improving outcomes for patients worldwide.
