Médunik Canada (搜索) has become the exclusive Canadian distributor of INCRELEX® (mecasermin), a recombinant human IGF-1 therapy for children and adolescents aged 2 to 18 with severe primary IGF-1 deficiency (SPIGFD).

Médunik Canada (搜索), a Canadian-owned pharmaceutical company within the Duchesnay Pharmaceutical Group (搜索), announced on July 14, 2026, that it has become the exclusive distributor of INCRELEX® (mecasermin) in Canada. The agreement, forged in partnership with global pharmaceutical company ESTEVE (搜索), aims to ensure continuity of supply for Canadian patients living with severe primary insulin-like growth factor-1 deficiency (搜索) (SPIGFD), an ultra-rare endocrine disorder.
Mecasermin is a recombinant human insulin-like growth factor-1 (rhIGF-1) therapy indicated for the treatment of growth failure in children and adolescents from 2 to 18 years with confirmed SPIGFD. The condition is characterized by the body's inability to produce adequate levels of IGF-1, a hormone essential for normal childhood growth. Without appropriate treatment, affected children may experience severely impaired growth, leading to significant short stature and its associated physical and emotional challenges.
