The collaboration aims to address the time-intensive challenge of manually screening patient records against extensive clinical trial portfolios, which can take up to 45 minutes per patient when records include clinician notes and PDFs.
AI-Powered Screening Transforms Manual Processes
Triomics (搜索)' generative AI platform automatically analyzes patient records, identifies eligible trials, and provides itemized rationale with source citations. The system reads through longitudinal medical records and eligibility criteria for all active clinical trials, generating ranked shortlists of trials for each patient with upcoming appointments, complete with clear per-criterion explanations and links to original sources.
"Real-time, evidence-linked matching transforms clinical trial screening from a bottleneck to an efficient, streamlined process," said Joe Lengfellner, Senior Director, Clinical Research Informatics & Technology at MSK. "This collaboration will enable our teams to surface opportunities that might otherwise be missed, allowing us to offer trials to more patients."
Expansion Across Major Cancer Centers
At Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital (搜索), the platform will be deployed across the entire portfolio of over 400 active oncology (搜索) clinical trials. As Connecticut's only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer (搜索) Center, Yale Cancer Center selected Triomics (搜索) after thorough evaluation of the technology's capabilities.

Clinical Validation and Implementation Strategy
The technology has demonstrated expert-level accuracy in clinical trial screening as published in Nature Digital Medicine. At MSK, the deployment follows a two-phase rollout plan developed by the MSK Clinical Research Innovation Consortium (搜索) (CRIC) and MSK iHub teams, with plans to encompass MSK's full clinical trial portfolio.
Triomics (搜索) participated in MSK's selective iHub Challenge program in 2024 before joining the MSK Innovation Hub (搜索). "Working with MSK through the iHub Challenge gave us direct access to senior research and innovation leaders, allowing the team to validate our technology quickly and accelerate implementation," noted Sebastien Rhodes, VP of Strategy & Operations at Triomics.
Enhanced Feasibility Assessment
Beyond patient screening, the platform supports trial feasibility assessment by rapidly evaluating eligibility criteria using real-world patient data. The collaboration includes strategic advisory roles, with Paul Sabbatini, Senior Vice President for Clinical Research at MSK, joining Triomics (搜索)' Customer Advisory Board to guide the responsible scale-up of the platform across the company's network of partner cancer (搜索) centers.
