Her career spans leadership roles across multiple major pharmaceutical companies, including directing cancer immunotherapy programs at Novartis, Genentech, and Atara Biotherapeutics.
Her academic credentials reflect a strong foundation in translational medicine. Dr. Montagut earned her MD from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and completed a PhD in Tumor Immunology from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center/Cornell University. She further developed her expertise through fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and Rockefeller University.
