GOTHENBURG, Sweden — MGI Tech Co., Ltd. (搜索) is using the European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG) 2026 Conference as a launchpad for two major initiatives designed to expand its clinical genomics footprint: the NGS Partner Enablement Program and new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) collaboration opportunities centered on its integrated library preparation and sequencing platforms.
The announcements, made at Booth 352, signal MGI's strategic push to build an open, collaborative ecosystem that bridges the gap between research-grade sequencing and regulated clinical diagnostics across Europe and beyond.
NGS Partner Enablement Program Targets Clinical Workflow Acceleration
At the heart of MGI's clinical strategy is the newly launched NGS Partner Enablement Program, a framework designed to connect diagnostic developers, assay providers, and laboratory partners seeking to establish validated clinical workflows on MGI sequencing platforms. The program aims to reduce time-to-market for regulated next-generation sequencing (NGS) applications by simplifying workflow implementation and fostering cross-sector collaboration.

The initiative reflects the growing recognition that successful clinical implementation of genomics requires coordinated efforts spanning instrumentation, assay chemistry, bioinformatics, and laboratory operations — no single entity can deliver the complete solution alone.
OEM Framework Opens Automation to Global Partners
Complementing the clinical partnership program, MGI announced expanded OEM opportunities for its DE Bundles — integrated systems combining library preparation and sequencing into turnkey automation solutions. The DE Bundle portfolio includes the current D4 paired with the E25 sequencer, as well as the forthcoming D16 system coupled with the E25 featuring a new 50M flow cell.
The D16, slated for launch later this year, represents a significant upgrade over its D4 predecessor. As a benchtop, mid-to-low throughput library preparation system, the D16 retains the fully enclosed contamination control architecture of the D4 while integrating a single-channel robotic pipetting module to maximize automation. With two sample preparation cartridges each capable of processing eight samples, the D16 delivers substantially higher throughput than the previous generation.

Symposium Showcases Clinical Translation of Genomic Technologies
MGI's Corporate Satellite Symposium, titled "Advancing Diagnostics: From Clinical Implementation to Biomarker Discovery," brought together European experts demonstrating real-world clinical applications of advanced genomic technologies across oncology, pharmacogenomics, and spatial multi-omics.
Dr. Raquel T. Lima from IPATIMUP in Portugal presented data on the clinical value of RNA sequencing for detecting actionable gene fusions in solid tumors (搜索), highlighting how the approach improves diagnostic yield and supports precision oncology decision-making. Prof. Dr. Andreas Braun from University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein in Germany demonstrated how spatial biology technologies can map the tumor microenvironment in melanoma (搜索), revealing tumor heterogeneity, cellular interactions, and mechanisms associated with disease progression and treatment response. Dr. Andrea Conti from BMR Genomics in Italy explored whole genome sequencing for pharmacogenetic marker evaluation, showing how comprehensive genomic approaches can support personalized medicine through improved identification of clinically relevant variants.

T7+ Platform Gains Commercial Traction
Highlighting strong market adoption, MGI is showcasing its T7+ ultra-high-throughput sequencing platform at ESHG 2026. Following its official European and African regional launch at Analytica 2026 in Munich, the T7+ has achieved 27 units installed worldwide as of the end of 2025.
