Novel Radiotherapy Technology Targets Aggressive Cancer
The approved clinical study represents an early feasibility investigation designed to assess safety and performance in patients with unresectable locally advanced pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (搜索). YntraDose (搜索) is a locoregional therapy intended for percutaneous radio-ablation of unresectable solid tumors, utilizing a novel approach that delivers targeted radiation doses through Yttrium-90 microspheres injected directly into the tumor site within a glue matrix that holds the Y-90 microspheres in place.
LA-PDAC (搜索) remains a significant health concern and represents a substantial unmet medical need in oncology. According to the company, the incidence of LA-PDAC has increased by 1.0% per year since the late 1990s, and the disease is projected to become the second-leading cause of cancer-related mortality by 2030.
