The clinical trial at CSU's Veterinary Hospital enrolled 73 cats with naturally occurring FIP (搜索), with treatment administered orally twice daily for 12 weeks followed by regular checkups for six months. The study achieved a 77% survival rate, with 12% of surviving cats experiencing relapse but ultimately surviving after undergoing another round of treatment.
Side effects observed during the trial included constipation, diarrhea, hypersalivation, nausea, vomiting, reduced appetite, pruritus, folded ears, elevated ALT, and neutropenia. Importantly, none of the cats experienced side effects severe enough to require discontinuation of the medication.

GS-441524, which was recently legalized in the United States after years of restricted access, requires an 84-day treatment regimen administered either by injection or oral form. Disease Characteristics and Impact
