Norway's nationwide health system has renewed its adoption of UpToDate Enterprise Edition (搜索), extending a 15-year partnership and providing access to over 30,000 clinicians across more than 50 public hospitals.

Norway's health system has renewed its nationwide adoption of Wolters Kluwer (搜索)'s UpToDate Enterprise Edition (搜索), a market-leading Clinical Decision Support (CDS) solution that will now be available to approximately 30,000 clinicians across more than 50 public hospitals and 11,000 beds in over 20 trusts. The agreement extends a 15-year partnership with Helsebiblioteket (搜索), the Norwegian Electronic Health Library, now part of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (搜索) (NIPH).

Competitive Selection Process
The renewal was not automatic. UpToDate Enterprise Edition (搜索) was selected following a competitive process conducted by the Norwegian regional health trusts and the National Institute for Public Health. Among all candidates evaluated, UpToDate achieved the highest scores across all quality criteria, underscoring its standing as a trusted evidence-based resource for clinical decision-making.
Enterprise Features and AI Integration
With the renewed adoption, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, students, and allied health professionals across Norway will continue to have access to trusted, evidence-based guidance at the point of care. The enterprise edition also introduces new features for patient treatment, including support for mental health medication transitions, renal dosing, and Clinical Pathways — interactive guides designed to help clinicians make appropriate decisions related to specific clinical questions using algorithms and calculators.
In a forward-looking move, clinicians in Norway will soon pilot UpToDate Expert AI, an artificial intelligence-powered tool. During this pilot stage, UpToDate Expert AI will be used for general information and education purposes rather than in the context of direct patient care, with the goal of providing feedback to support continued development and improvement of the AI system.
