The IKN Nusantara Authority (OIKN) has partnered with seven technology companies from the United States to develop the Phase II Command Center concept in Nusantara, the new Indonesian capital city located in East Kalimantan. This collaboration aims to establish a cutting-edge smart city infrastructure.
Professor Mohammed Ali Berawi, Deputy for green and digital transformation of OIKN, expressed optimism about the collaboration, highlighting its potential to support technology development at IKN. The initiative commenced with the construction of the Proof of Concept (PoC) Command Center phase II.
The collaboration was formalized through a Proof of Concept (PoC) implementation agreement valued at US$7.6 million. Vishal Currie, CEO of Meta Mind Global Corporation (搜索) (MMGC), represented the seven US technology companies at the signing in Jakarta.

The US companies involved bring diverse expertise to the project:
- Amazon Web Services: Providing cloud services and IT security.
- Autodesk: Handling construction management and design.
- Cisco: Supporting IT infrastructure and networks.
- Esri: Assisting in geospatial analysis.
- IBM: Focusing on asset and environmental management.
- Honeywell: Handling surveillance and security systems.
- Motorola: Providing reliable communication and network technology.
Objectives and Impact
Berawi stated that this collaboration would ensure the best infrastructure standards for the infrastructure and security of the PoC Command Center, creating a sophisticated and sustainable ecosystem. The agreement is a concrete step following the grant agreement between OIKN and the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) on September 20, 2024.
