ParcelBio (搜索) has emerged from stealth mode with $13 million in seed financing to advance its next-generation mRNA (搜索) platform designed to overcome the durability limitations that have constrained RNA therapeutics beyond vaccine applications. The financing round was led by Breyer Capital (搜索), with participation from General Catalyst (搜索), Y Combinator (搜索), Metaplanet, SurgePoint Capital, ZAKA VC, and other investors.
The biotechnology company is developing what it calls a new class of potent and durable mRNA (搜索) medicines through its proprietary APEXm (搜索)™ (Amplified and Prolonged EXpression mRNA) platform. Unlike current mRNA technologies that typically result in short-lived protein expression, ParcelBio (搜索)'s approach engineers RNA molecules to actively recruit the cell's native RNA-stabilizing machinery (搜索).
Addressing the Durability Challenge
Current mRNA (搜索) technologies face fundamental limitations in achieving both high protein expression and sustained durability, often requiring tradeoffs between potency, duration, and manufacturability. These constraints have restricted broader mRNA applications beyond vaccines and short-acting therapeutics.

The APEXm (搜索)™ platform maintains a simple, linear mRNA (搜索) architecture while delivering both high peak expression and sustained activity. Unlike circular RNA and other next-generation approaches that often introduce manufacturing complexity or reduce peak output, ParcelBio (搜索)'s technology is designed to be modular and broadly applicable across proteins and cell types.
Lead Program Targets Autoimmune Diseases
ParcelBio (搜索)'s lead program focuses on in vivo CAR-T (搜索) therapies targeting pathogenic B cells (搜索) across autoimmune diseases. The goal is to achieve deep B-cell depletion for durable, drug-free remission by enabling sustained CAR expression without viral delivery or ex vivo manufacturing. This approach aims to develop scalable, off-the-shelf therapies with curative potential.

Preclinical Validation and Pipeline Expansion
Preclinical data demonstrate that ParcelBio (搜索)'s APEXm (搜索)™ RNA drives significantly higher and more durable protein expression compared to a leading clinical mRNA (搜索) design. This enhanced performance translates into deeper biological responses, including more complete target cell depletion in in vivo CAR-T (搜索) models.
The company plans to debut the APEXm (搜索)™ platform and preclinical data in an oral presentation at the American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy (ASGCT) Annual Meeting on May 14, 2026. Beyond autoimmune applications, ParcelBio (搜索) is developing additional programs in oncology (搜索) and encoded protein therapeutics.

The platform's ability to achieve sustained protein production addresses a critical bottleneck that has limited mRNA (搜索)'s application in chronic diseases requiring long-term biological effects.
For conditions characterized by chronic inflammation, immune dysfunction, or progressive tissue damage, transient bursts of protein production may not provide sufficient therapeutic benefit.
