The company has grown from 200 to more than 870 healthcare organizations and captured over 70 million patient outcomes since its 2022 Series B.

PatientIQ (搜索) has raised $30 million in Series C financing led by Hughes & Company (搜索) to expand its patient-reported outcomes intelligence platform across additional healthcare specialties, medical device companies and life sciences organizations. Hughes & Company joins existing investors Health Enterprise Partners (搜索) and August Capital (搜索), and Travis Hughes, Founder and Managing Partner of Hughes & Company, will join PatientIQ's board of directors.
The financing arrives as healthcare providers face mounting requirements to collect and demonstrate patient-reported clinical outcomes for reimbursement, regulatory compliance and research. PatientIQ (搜索)'s platform is now used by more than 870 healthcare organizations and 17 million patients across the U.S., positioning the company to address a growing demand for standardized longitudinal outcomes data that connects clinical care with research and regulatory needs.
Rapid Expansion Since Series B
Since completing its Series B financing in 2022, PatientIQ (搜索) has expanded its EHR-integrated network from 200 healthcare organizations to more than 870 health systems, private practices and specialty clinics. The company has collected more than 70 million patient outcomes across more than 20 medical specialties, including orthopedics, neurosurgery and thoracic surgery.
PatientIQ (搜索) now integrates with more than 50 electronic health record systems, including Epic, Oracle Cerner (Oracle Health) and Athenahealth. These connections enable healthcare organizations to incorporate patient-reported outcome measures directly into existing clinical workflows, with validated surveys triggered at standardized pre- and post-operative intervals without requiring clinicians to leave their primary EHR charting environment.
Three Strategic Investment Priorities
PatientIQ (搜索) plans to deploy the new capital across three primary areas. First, the company intends to deepen specialty integrations within health systems while supporting national clinical data registries operated by organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Society for Thoracic Surgeons.
A second focus will be expanding PatientIQ (搜索)'s real-world evidence activities for medical device and biopharmaceutical companies. The platform supports use cases including post-market clinical follow-up, FDA regulatory submissions and longitudinal comparative effectiveness studies. Existing enterprise customers in this segment include Johnson & Johnson and Zimmer Biomet.
PatientIQ (搜索) also plans to establish a direct-to-patient marketplace designed to connect individuals with rehabilitation tools, specialty medical supplies and clinical recovery services during post-treatment care.
Investor Perspective
Travis Hughes, Founder and Managing Partner of Hughes & Company (搜索), described the investment rationale: "We spent a year studying the patient-reported outcomes space. What we found in PatientIQ (搜索) is something rare – a company that helped create and define an entirely new category that has a meaningful impact on quality of care. We are excited to be part of PatientIQ's next chapter of growth."
PatientIQ (搜索) leadership framed the challenge the company addresses: "The reason outcomes data has been so hard to act on in healthcare isn't a lack of will – it's a lack of infrastructure. Building that infrastructure, specialty by specialty, workflow by workflow, is what PatientIQ has been doing for a decade. This investment is validation that the approach is working, and the fuel to take it much further."
The company's approach centers on capturing patient-reported information through existing clinical infrastructure and making those datasets available for outcomes analysis and evidence generation across different specialties and care settings.
