The company pioneered commercial ADC manufacturing and has earned more than 15 years of expertise in this complex therapeutic area. The Grangemouth facility has developed hundreds of unique bioconjugates across clinical, commercial, and non-GMP batches.
The facility maintains strong regulatory credentials, including accreditations from the US FDA and MHRA, supporting Piramal's commitment to quality manufacturing standards. These capabilities are integrated into the company's ADCelerate™ program, a rapid, integrated phase I ADC development initiative that combines specialized capabilities across Piramal's global network.
Strategic Technology Partnership
In a parallel development, Piramal has announced a strategic collaboration with Ajinomoto Bio-Pharma Services (搜索) to enhance ADC development and manufacturing capabilities. Under this arrangement, Piramal will refer customers seeking ADC manufacturing technology to Ajinomoto's AJICAP (搜索)™ platform, while Ajinomoto will refer customers to Piramal as a potential CDMO for manufacturing products using AJICAP™ technology.
The collaboration includes a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) that will equip Piramal with the expertise and capabilities to manufacture AJICAP (搜索)™-based products. AJICAP™ technology facilitates the development of site-specific ADCs through efficient processes, enabling pharmaceutical developers to create ADCs with higher efficacy and lower toxicity.
