PMWC Joins Life Science Connect to Expand Precision Medicine Community Engagement Year-Round
核心洞察
The Precision Medicine World Conference (搜索) (PMWC) has joined Life Science Connect (搜索)'s network, extending its scientific content and conversations beyond annual conferences.
PMWC, founded in 2009, convenes clinicians, researchers, industry leaders, investors, and regulators to advance the translation of precision medicine into patient care.
The partnership preserves PMWC's core leadership team, including co-founder and president Tal Behar, while leveraging LSC's digital communities and year-round content capabilities.
The Precision Medicine World Conference (搜索) (PMWC), a leading forum dedicated to advancing precision medicine since 2009, has joined Life Science Connect (搜索)'s (LSC) network of specialized life science communities and events. The strategic move, announced on July 23, 2026, aims to extend PMWC's scientific content and conversations throughout the year, moving beyond the confines of its flagship annual gathering.
"PMWC has always been about bringing the precision medicine community together to advance patient care," said Tal Behar, co-founder and president of PMWC. "By partnering with Life Science Connect (搜索), we can extend the important conversations that begin at PMWC through their communities and digital channels, while continuing to strengthen the in-person experience our community values."
The core PMWC leadership team remains intact under the new arrangement, with Behar continuing to lead the organization. LSC Board director Doug Emslie noted that the acquisition was the culmination of a nearly seven-year pursuit. "Congratulations to the PMWC team on joining the Life Science Connect (搜索) family. This is a fantastic outcome for the business and everyone who has helped build it," Emslie said. "Having pursued PMWC for the best part of seven years, I'm especially pleased that persistence has finally paid off. More importantly, it's found a great home at Life Science Connect, where it has every opportunity to continue to grow and flourish."
A Legacy of Convening Precision Medicine Leaders
Since its founding in 2009, PMWC has established itself as a premier forum in the precision medicine landscape, convening a diverse array of stakeholders including clinicians, researchers, industry leaders, investors, and regulators. The conference has attracted high-profile speakers over the years, including governors, Nobel Laureates, and heads of the FDA, CMS, and HHS, as well as leaders from some of the most valuable companies in the world.
Jon Howland, CEO of LSC, underscored the conference's standing in the field. "PMWC has earned its reputation as the 'Davos of Precision Medicine' by bringing together influential voices across science, medicine, biotechnology, technology, and investment around a shared commitment to advancing precision medicine," Howland said. "We look forward to supporting Tal and the PMWC team as they broaden the reach of these conversations while preserving the scientific focus, academic collaborations, and trusted relationships that make the conference distinctive."
Strategic Alignment Across Life Science Communities
The partnership positions PMWC alongside LSC's established specialized communities, including Drug Discovery, Cell & Gene, Clinical, and RNA communities. This alignment is expected to create stronger connections across the research, development, and clinical translation of precision medicine. LSC, which has served life science professionals for more than 40 years, connects audiences through specialized digital communities, original content, events, and audience engagement programs.
PMWC 2027 and East Coast Expansion
PMWC 2027 is scheduled for January 27–29, 2027, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Silicon Valley. Current plans, partnerships, and commitments for the conference remain unchanged. Later in 2027, PMWC and LSC also expect to bring the conference to the East Coast, expanding opportunities for the precision medicine community to connect in person and broadening the geographic reach of the event.
