Proscia (搜索), a Philadelphia-based digital pathology company, has unveiled the fifth generation of its Concentriq platform, marking its largest platform overhaul in five years. The release embeds domain-specific frontier vision, language, and multimodal AI models directly into the core of the technology stack, aiming to help diagnostic laboratories and pharmaceutical companies manage rising workloads, accelerate biomarker research, and expand precision medicine programs.
The platform arrives at a time when more than half of pathologists report not having enough time to get through their workload, while scientists face mounting pressure to bring targeted therapies to patients amid high failure rates for investigational medicines.

The new architecture integrates medical images, patient information, laboratory data, and research datasets to provide experts and AI models with a complete picture of each case or study. According to the company, the system draws on this unified context to orchestrate burdensome work surrounding case review and to accelerate the discovery and development of advanced biomarkers. Outputs are designed to be transparent, reproducible, and interpretable for expert verification.
Proscia (搜索) reports that its software is used by laboratories handling approximately 12 million patient cases annually and by 16 of the world's 20 largest pharmaceutical companies. Concentriq was named 2026 Best in KLAS for Digital Pathology globally and in Europe.
Streamlining Diagnostic Workflows
For pathologists and diagnostic laboratories, the platform introduces AI-assisted image navigation that preserves the mental model needed to assess findings such as depth of invasion, with skin slides orienting automatically. Image analysis is built directly into the viewer, allowing regions of interest to be refined and results to update in real time. Reportable findings are assembled in the same pass for pathologist confirmation.
Operations teams gain AI-driven tools to balance workloads, recommend stain panels and ancillary studies, and surface operational bottlenecks before they impact performance. The platform's automated storage tiering can reduce long-term storage costs by more than half while preserving secure, governed access to historical case data.

In clinical trials, algorithms predict biomarker expression during pre-screening to help sponsors identify eligible patients and reach enrollment goals faster. The platform supports biomarker-driven studies at the scale of global multi-site trials, helping ensure patients are evaluated against consistent criteria and generating reproducible results.

The fifth generation of Concentriq is available now to current customers through Proscia (搜索)'s early-access program. Initial deployments begin this month with select laboratories and biopharmaceutical companies, and broader availability follows later this year.
