Quanterix Corporation (搜索) has announced the commercial launch of two novel phospho-tau assays, p-Tau 205 (搜索) and p-Tau 212 (搜索), marking the first-to-market availability of these biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease (搜索) research. The announcement coincides with the company's prominent presence at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference (AAIC) 2025, where more than 55 posters and presentations featured data generated using its Simoa® technology.
Expanding Biomarker Detection Capabilities
The newly launched assays enable precise detection of tau phosphorylation sites, biomarkers increasingly associated with early and progressive stages of Alzheimer's disease (搜索). Developed on Quanterix's ultra-sensitive Simoa® platform, the p-Tau 205 (搜索) and 212 assays are designed to empower researchers to explore novel disease mechanisms, refine patient stratification, and support therapeutic development through fluid-based biomarkers.
These additions strengthen Quanterix's market-leading portfolio of blood-based biomarkers for neurodegeneration (搜索) research. Research suggests that phosphorylated tau proteins, including P-tau217 (搜索), may serve as critically important biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease (搜索) diagnosis.
