核心洞察
Quotient Sciences and Biorasi (搜索) have announced a strategic partnership to deliver fully integrated early phase clinical trial solutions from IND to proof-of-concept.
The collaboration combines Quotient's clinical pharmacology expertise and 230-bed facilities with Biorasi (搜索)'s global patient recruitment network spanning multiple therapeutic areas.
Sponsors will benefit from a single provider model offering unified contracts and protocols to reduce outsourcing complexity and accelerate development timelines.
Quotient Sciences, a global drug development, research and manufacturing accelerator, and Biorasi (搜索), a global clinical research organization (CRO), have announced a strategic partnership to deliver fully integrated early phase clinical trial solutions. The collaboration aims to provide biotech and pharmaceutical sponsors with a simplified pathway from Investigational New Drug (IND) applications to proof-of-concept (POC) studies.
Integrated Clinical Development Model
The partnership combines Quotient Sciences' expertise in early clinical development with Biorasi (搜索)'s global patient recruitment capabilities. This integration enables seamless transitions from healthy volunteers into patient groups within first-in-human (FIH) Phase I/IIa clinical trials, addressing growing industry demand for patient assessments and biomarker integration in early-stage studies.
Sponsors will benefit from Quotient Sciences' clinical pharmacology expertise, supported by facilities in Miami and Nottingham comprising 230 beds and a large database of trial participants. This infrastructure is complemented by Biorasi (搜索)'s global patient recruitment network, which spans therapeutic areas including dermatology, neurology, nephrology, cell therapy, and other specialty fields.
Streamlined Operations and Contracting
The partnership offers sponsors a single provider model for FIH to POC programs, with the option of a single contract and unified protocol and regulatory submissions. This approach is designed to reduce outsourcing complexity and accelerate development timelines compared to traditional multi-vendor arrangements.
"By combining Quotient's clinical expertise with Biorasi (搜索)'s global patient access network, we enable Sponsors to efficiently conduct early-phase studies under a single operational and contracting model, while maintaining the highest standards of clinical research and data quality," said Thierry Van Nieuwenhove, CEO of Quotient Sciences.
Hybrid Protocol Innovation
The collaboration focuses on hybrid or multi-part protocols that combine healthy volunteer and patient cohorts within a single integrated design. These protocols offer speed, flexibility, and scientific rigor while providing a seamless pathway for generating early clinical data. This approach represents a natural extension of Quotient's Translational Pharmaceutics® methodology, which integrates formulation development, drug product manufacturing, and clinical testing.
Chris O'Brien, CEO of Biorasi (搜索), emphasized the partnership's value proposition: "Through this collaboration with Quotient Sciences, we are providing Sponsors with a simplified, scalable model that supports everything from FIH studies to patient POC, helping new therapies reach patients faster."
Expanded Service Capabilities
The venture also creates opportunities for adjacent services including comprehensive CDMO offerings such as pharmacy compounding, drug product manufacturing, data sciences, and regulatory support. Quotient Sciences has been recognized as a multi-year winner of the CRO Leadership Awards in 2021, 2022, and 2024, and of the CDMO Leadership Awards in 2023.
The partnership reflects both companies' commitment to addressing the evolving needs of biotech and pharmaceutical innovators in today's dynamic clinical trial environment, with Quotient Sciences bringing 35 years of experience in accelerating drug development to proof-of-concept.
