The appointment comes as the Berkeley, California-based company prepares to enter the clinic with its lead candidate, RVB-003, for the treatment of Netherton Syndrome (搜索) — a rare and life-threatening genetic skin disorder for which no FDA-approved therapies currently exist.
Dr. Doux brings decades of clinical dermatology expertise and rare disease drug development experience to the board. A board-certified dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, he maintained a clinical practice in medical and surgical dermatology from 1999 through 2016 and currently serves as an analyst at Palo Alto Investors, a physician-led healthcare-focused investment firm.

A Modular Platform for Rare Skin Diseases
ResVita Bio (搜索) has developed a therapeutic platform that harnesses genetically engineered, non-pathogenic bacteria to continuously produce therapeutic proteins directly on the skin surface. The platform's distinguishing feature is its modularity — genetic sequences can be swapped to direct the continuous, local production of different therapeutic proteins, enabling the company to build a pipeline of disease-modifying therapies across multiple rare and chronic skin diseases.

The program has received both Orphan Drug Designation and Rare Pediatric Disease Designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, reflecting the significant unmet medical need in this patient population. Board Leadership with Deep Dermatology Roots
Dr. Doux's appointment adds substantial clinical and strategic depth to ResVita's board. He currently serves as a board director for Palvella Therapeutics (搜索) (Nasdaq: PVLA) and Orvida Pharma (搜索) (formerly Kamari Pharma), and is a board trustee of the Pachyonychia Congenita Project. He also co-founded the Dermatology Summit and the Dermatology Innovation Forum, further demonstrating his commitment to advancing innovation in dermatology.
Dr. Doux earned his B.S. with Distinction and M.D. from Stanford University, where he conducted early dermatology research as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Student Fellow. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital and his dermatology residency at Stanford University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He also holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was named a Palmer Scholar.
