Swiss pharmaceutical giant Roche has entered an exclusive licensing and collaboration agreement with Nurix Therapeutics valued at up to $2.3 billion, the company announced on Monday. The deal centers on bexobrutideg (搜索), an investigational blood cancer therapy that employs targeted protein degradation, with a Phase III clinical trial initiation for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (搜索) (CLL) planned for this summer.
Financial Structure and Milestones
Under the terms of the agreement, Nurix will receive an upfront payment of $700 million, with additional potential payouts contingent upon achieving specified development, regulatory, and sales milestones. Development costs for the drug will be shared, with Roche covering 60% and Nurix responsible for the remaining 40%.
The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026.
Commercialization and Profit Sharing
The two companies have outlined a bifurcated commercialization strategy. In the United States, Roche and Nurix will co-commercialize bexobrutideg (搜索) and split profits and losses equally. Outside the U.S., Roche will assume sole responsibility for commercialization and will pay royalties to Nurix on net sales.
