Senseonics Holdings, Inc. (搜索) (NASDAQ: SENS), maker of the Eversense 365 (搜索) Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System, announced a partnership with Beta Bionics, Inc. (搜索) (NASDAQ: BBNX) to integrate Eversense 365 with the iLet Bionic Pancreas (搜索) automated insulin delivery (AID) system. The companies said the integrated device aims to pair year-long, implantable glucose sensing with fully adaptive insulin delivery technology that does not require carb counting and autonomously determines and delivers user insulin doses.
Senseonics expects development of the Eversense 365 (搜索)-iLet integration to be completed during the fourth quarter of 2026, with commercial launch planned following completion of integration activities in the same quarter, subject to required testing, validation activities and applicable regulatory requirements. The company cited Eversense 365's implantable design, consistent performance over an entire year and reduced device burden as features well-suited to AID systems, and noted it builds on early success from its first pump integration.
Eversense CGM systems are indicated for continually measuring glucose levels for up to 365 days for Eversense 365 (搜索) and up to 180 days for Eversense E3 (搜索) in persons with diabetes (搜索) age 18 and older, and are indicated to replace fingerstick blood glucose measurements for diabetes treatment decisions. Fingerstick measurements are still required for calibration primarily once weekly after day 14 for Eversense 365, and when symptoms do not match CGM information or when taking medications of the tetracycline class; sensor insertion and removal are performed by a health care provider.
