The designation recognizes the significant unmet medical need in CMML, an aggressive blood cancer with limited treatment options for patients whose disease has relapsed or become resistant to available therapies.
Novel Targeting Mechanism
STX-0712 represents a new class of therapeutic called CyTAC (搜索) (Cytotoxicity Targeting Chimera), which targets the G-protein coupled receptor CCR2 (搜索). This receptor is expressed at high levels on malignant monocytes and bone marrow blasts, which are key drivers of disease in CMML (搜索) and other hematologic cancers. By eliminating CCR2-positive cells, STX-0712 aims to provide a more targeted treatment approach with minimal effects on non-malignant cells.

Initial clinical data from this ongoing study is planned for submission to a hematology conference later this year.
Beyond CMML (搜索), Solu Therapeutics (搜索) is exploring STX-0712's potential in other hematologic malignancies (搜索), including AML (搜索), where CCR2 (搜索)-positive cells also play a role in disease progression.
