Sonablate and Eleven Ventures Forge $200 Million Strategic Alliance to Advance AI-Powered Therapeutic Ultrasound Globally
核心洞察
Sonablate has entered a strategic alliance with Eleven Ventures (搜索) to accelerate global commercialization of its AI-powered therapeutic ultrasound technologies, with up to $200 million in equity financing to be facilitated from Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds and private investors.
The collaboration extends beyond capital to include potential regional manufacturing in Saudi Arabia, a GCC headquarters, clinical research support, and international equipment deployment as early as Q4 2026.
Sonablate's HIFU (搜索) system is FDA-cleared for prostate tissue ablation and approved in more than 50 countries, with the company developing applications in oncology, neuromodulation, cardiovascular disease, and women's health.
Sonablate Corp. (搜索), a U.S.-based AI-powered precision medicine company, has signed a landmark strategic agreement with Eleven Ventures (搜索), an investment platform founded by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud, to accelerate the global development, commercialization, and adoption of its intelligent, image-guided therapeutic ultrasound technologies. The agreement, executed during a signing ceremony in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, establishes a long-term collaboration that includes plans to facilitate up to $200 million in equity financing from leading regional sovereign wealth funds and private investment institutions, subject to customary processes and approvals.
"This partnership reflects growing global confidence in Sonablate's long-term vision to transform precision medicine through intelligent, AI-powered therapeutic ultrasound technologies," said Richard Yang, CEO of Sonablate. "As healthcare shifts toward more personalized, non-invasive treatment, we believe our expanding technology suite is uniquely positioned to meet that need."
A Comprehensive Technology Portfolio
Sonablate's expanding therapeutic ecosystem encompasses high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU (搜索)), low-intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU), low-output focused ultrasound (LOFU), Sonatherm, and SonaTripsy. Together, these technologies form the foundation of the company's long-term precision medicine roadmap, designed to support future AI-assisted, image-guided therapies across multiple clinical applications.
The company's first commercial application is prostate tissue ablation. The Sonablate HIFU (搜索) System is FDA-cleared in the United States for this indication and has received regulatory approvals in more than 50 countries worldwide. Beyond prostate applications, Sonablate is developing technologies for potential future use in oncology, neuromodulation, cardiovascular disease, women's health, and other emerging therapeutic areas.
Clinical Evidence Supporting the Technology
The alliance announcement coincides with new research from Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust examining the long-term effectiveness of focal therapies for localized prostate cancer (搜索). Sonablate's technology was used in all HIFU (搜索) procedures included in the study, representing 85% of the total dataset, while the remaining 15% involved cryotherapy. According to Sonablate, this research adds to the growing body of evidence supporting non-invasive treatment approaches and could support broader adoption of focused ultrasound technology.
Beyond Capital: A Multi-Faceted Collaboration
The strategic alliance extends well beyond capital formation. Under the agreement, Eleven Ventures (搜索) will serve as Sonablate's strategic capital partner in the Middle East, with plans for Sonablate equipment to potentially begin deploying internationally as early as the fourth quarter of 2026.
The collaboration encompasses a broad range of initiatives, including potential expansion of commercialization activities throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, evaluation of regional assembly and manufacturing capabilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the establishment of a regional headquarters serving Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets. The agreement also covers exploration of future joint venture opportunities in Saudi Arabia, support for clinical research across emerging therapeutic applications, regulatory and market access engagement, and public awareness initiatives surrounding AI-powered non-invasive ultrasound technologies.
His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud will provide strategic leadership to advance Sonablate's international growth strategy through the Global Strategic Partnership Committee, supporting government engagement, capital formation, strategic partnerships, and long-term market development.
"The future of healthcare will be shaped by international collaboration, scientific innovation, and long-term investment in transformative technologies," said Prince Abdulaziz. "Through our partnership with Sonablate, we look forward to supporting the global advancement of intelligent, non-invasive precision medicine for the benefit of patients and healthcare systems worldwide."
Positioning for a Growing Precision Medicine Market
The alliance comes at a time when demand for precision medicine, AI-enabled technologies, and non-invasive treatment options continues to accelerate. Market analysts project the global precision medicine market will more than double over the next decade as healthcare systems increasingly invest in technologies that enable more personalized, targeted care. Against this backdrop, Sonablate and Eleven Ventures (搜索) are building a long-term international partnership designed to accelerate innovation, expand access across borders, and establish AI-powered therapeutic ultrasound as a defining non-invasive technology in the future of precision medicine.
