The collaboration, which launched in January 2026, positions Southern Research (搜索) to capitalize on accelerating global investment in research while leveraging Pathogenus's established European network spanning the U.K., Ireland, Belgium, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.
Strategic Focus on Respiratory Diseases
Much of the partnership's emphasis will center on respiratory viruses including influenza (搜索), RSV (搜索), and COVID-19 (搜索), as well as viral diseases such as Dengue fever (搜索). The collaboration also extends to cancer (搜索) research, a longstanding focus area for Southern Research (搜索).

This combination aims to help international biotech companies developing treatments for emerging and re-emerging diseases access Southern Research's preclinical capabilities.
